Just when I thought Albertsons couldn’t get any better…, they go and open Albertsons Market Street, located on Eagle Rd and Fairview! I had the pleasure of attending their sneak peek event, this past Thursday evening, and let me tell you – I was OVERLY impressed by the thoroughness and detail that’s been put into each department and newly created sections. So much so, I thought it was my duty to report back to you via a blog post. So here we are. Listen, I’m a mother & wife, soon to be a mother of two (oops, did I just share that will you? 😆) and as much as I love adding pieces of clothing to my cart; I also have a deep fondness for businesses who make it their mission to offer nothing but quality, convenience and experiences when it comes to their customers shopping experience. And in this case Albertsons gives me all of those things while adding everything what I need, to fuel myself and family, to my cart.
During my visit, I came across so many new departments and exciting features, outside of their normal incredible offerings, and decided to compile a list for you to see why the new Albertsons Market Street is your one stop shop for all things grocer and wellness! With that being said, let’s get started!
- SQUARE FOOTAGE: With over 100,000 square feet of convenience and more than 20 departments, Albertsons Market Street is now the largest Albertsons and it’s here in our hometown! Every step you take and direction you turn into is bound to delight and capture any and all of your needs. I’m not just talking about their standard premium produce and meats, signature fried chicken, guacamole and freshly made cookies, we’ve all been enjoying these past years. This store is dynamite! From an expanded International section where they’ve tied in our local Boise Basque Center, to their seafood section that now offers an OYSTER BAR and CAVIAR, and the tons of other amenities that I’ll be sharing below, this Albertsons has made grocery shopping modern and enjoyable again.
- HEALTHY MADE EASY: This one is going to delight all of my #FITFAMers, meal preppers and time savers. I’m sure you’re already familiar with all the great selections of prepped fruits and packaged veggies ready for you to grab and go. Well it just got getter. Okay, you ready? They have a VEGGIE CHOP SHOP featuring freshly chopped vegetables ready for you to mix and match for the perfect stir fry, healthy dinner side option, and meal prepping made easy. Honestly, when I saw this, my heart palpitated. As you can see the options are endless and they aren’t playing around. Look at all these healthy pre-cut vegetables!
- SALADS….SALADS EVERYWHERE: Summer bodies here we come! A SPECIALTY SALAD AREA, in their Kitchen & Deli department, with a variety of pre-made, ready to go salads, BUT THAT’S not it. They also have a salad bar where you can have your favorite salad made right in front of you! This is where you’ll find me, on the regular, during lunch or dinner!
- FRESHLY HANDMADE TORTILLAS: That’s right folks. On the daily, freshly handmade tortillas for a quick quesadilla, some delicious fajitas or burritos! Head over to their scratch made bakery and you’ll be able to spot the tortillas being made!
- NUTS ON CLARK POPCORN: Nuts on Clark popcorn is now available at Albertsons and it’s the only grocer installation! EVER! This is a savory snack you no longer need to travel to Chicago for or order online to enjoy! It’s the perfect snack to delight any occasion, plus they have a new flavor which was right up my alley – spicy! It was so delicious! Head in and sample them for yourself!
- OYSTER BAR, LOBSTER TANK & CAVIAR: only the best of the best, when it comes to offering an assortment of different seafood options. If you’re an oyster fanatic, this new highlight will turn you into a regular in no time! Also, not pictured but they also have a live lobster tank and fresh caviar for all you caviar lovers!
- ENDLESS DINNER POSSIBILITIES: With Albertsons’ Kitchen and Deli, TALON Tap & Spirits with a full-service bistro and bar, and NEW Frozen Restaurant Style Meals section, dinner will no longer seem like a chore but rather like an experience! Enjoy made for you restaurant style meals anytime of the day, regardless of how you like to dine. Are you in the mood for some sushi tonight? Head to their Sushi bar. Are sandwiches your jam? Their artisan sandwiches are to die for! From their famous fried chicken to their made to order taco, gyros, salads and burgers, dinner has never been so trouble-free and diverse. Back to their newest feature, which is their new frozen restaurant style meals. This is perfect for anyone who loves the convenience of a quick and delectable dinner but would rather cook it up on their time and in their kitchen! As you can see below there’s a variety of pre-made dinners, perfect for a quick midweek dinner! Another wonderful option for my cooks who love trying new recipes, is their newest Pinterest feature laid out throughout their frozen section. Whenever you see signage with “Get Inspired with New Recipes”, simply open up your Pinterest App and scan the image of the meal provided and it will automatically pull up the recipe! The best part is the main ingredient will be right in front of you!
- EXPANDED INTERNATIONAL SECTION: As a proud Mexican American and someone who embraces any and all cultures, seeing all these flags displayed and cultures included in this section really made me so happy. Albertsons Market Street did such a great job with this section. Specifically, with tying in our local Basque Center. You can now purchase pre-made croquetas, arroz con leche, flan and all the ingredients you need to make your own tapas at home! P.S. I’m holding up the tortillas because that’s my maiden name – Guerrero!
- AKOS MED CLINIC & Drive Thru Pharmacy: Medical care made easy! Now this is really neat, it’s going to save us all time and the expense of a doc visit. If you or someone in the family has been feeling under the weather just pop in anytime, there’s no appointment needed! You can even pop in while grocery shopping! And because convenience is everything, they also have a drive thru pharmacy for you to be able to pick up your latest prescription/s.
- LIVING WELL EXPERT: I just recently started using essential oils, and I always have tons of questions so this addition to their start is going to be so helpful. They’ll have a living well expert at all times to answer any aromatherapy and essential oil questions you may have.
- GLASS-ENCLOSED WINE CELLAR: You know what they say, save the best for the last. With over 3,000 wine varieties both local and international, and a huge assortment of local and international beers, Albertsons Market Street offers the largest selection in the state! If their glass enclosed wine cellar isn’t enough to impress you, I encourage you to walk through the aisles surrounding the cellar, for all of their remarkable options! It’s definitely a must see section of this new store.
Although there’s tons more to see and experience at the new Albertsons Market Street these were the new highlights and offerings that captured my attention and I knew I had to share. Not to forget about the rest of the amazing offerings – their in-store Starbucks, TALON Tap & Spirits, free community events, live music, expanded floral department, love for local section, extraordinary bakery, meat and seafood selection, the catering services they offer and so much more! It’s evident, upon walking in that every department, section and new feature in Albertsons Market Street was created with us in mind. Albertsons really out did themselves with this store and I can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself!
