Rule NO. 1 In My Book Of Style – Life Is Too Short, BE Risqué. Take note – I’m not one to play safe; I am ALL about turning heads and taking chances when it comes to my look and choice of outfits. And there’s nothing safe about this plunge lace-up and front-back slit skirt! However, here’s my disclaimer – I always make sure to keep in mind who I’m dressing up for (myself because it’s a way to express my personality and husband because he loves it), but most importantly recognize – there’s a time and place for it. DON’T GET CRAZY <insert Bon Qui Qui Voice>.

The first time I set eyes on a Plunge Lace Up Bodysuit, it was love at first sight. I just had to have one. For me it was one of those fabuMUST pieces you first lay eyes on and before you know it you’ve checked out and you sit there confused as to what just happened! HA! Personally I think every PYT, yes including you, should be making this sultry piece ‘work’ (work it gurl) because it’s both sexy and comfy. Now… how often do you hear those two words together? Not often. So take advantage, but most importantly don’t be afraid, get risqué!

Where to wear? That all depends on how comfortable you are in your skin and of course WHERE you will be going and what you’ll be doing while slaying in this piece. THIS IS NOT YOUR MAMA’S TOP, so don’t wear this to work or to a business meeting! However, don’t let that discourage you, this top is PERFECT for date night, a girls night out, or if you’re wanting to be fearless and embrace a sexier look. Comfort TIP: if you are wanting to try this look but need some back up, pair it up with a blazer so you can cover up if you get out and start regretting all of your life choices. JK I am totally being dramatic, but seriously a blazer is a great way to play it safe and be discrete about your sexy number.

What bottom should I wear with this bodysuit, you ask? GREAT QUESTION! If this is your first risqué rodeo, I suggest you balance the bodysuit with a pair of fitted high wasted jeans for a sexy but casual appeal. For this look, I decided to sass it up a bit more with my Nasty Gal Little Bit Denim Slit Skirt’. Even though this skirt has a bit of sex appeal with the high front back slit, it’s still a safe piece because of it’s mid-length.

You can find this bodysuit in just about any color, texture and fabric option – from suede to spandex to polyester – making it easier to take the ‘plunge’. I’ve linked a couple of different price point and brand options below for you to decide on your perfect outfit color, material, and/or texture.

Have you been wanting to try this top? WOULD you try this top? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Remember, whether or not you’d be willing to try this type of bodysuit, always keep in mind style is about loving and honoring yourself regardless of the fashion trend or piece you are wearing or exploring. You have to be comfortable with yourself and in your skin the rest is just fluff!

Thank you SO SO much for reading!

XOXO,

Jennifer Puente
