Happy Holidays amores! We are 2 days away from Christmas and 9 away from closing out 2016 and welcoming a 2017! WOW!

Where did 2016 go?  The saying – “time flies when your having fun” – most definitely applied to me this year. As I reflect back, I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to. So much so that my heart could explode and I’m not kidding either! I haven’t felt this amount of excitement and sense freedom in such a long time. It’s almost as if the last 3-4 years of my life have been progressing phases that have lead me to this point. Believe me when I say – 2017 will be MY year. It’s going to be a goal of mine to aim for the moon and the stars with/in everything I do in 2017. Here are 2 of the main reasons why I’m enthusiastic for the new year (besides wearing this beautiful Express dress).

Until now, I have only been 1/4-1/2 invested in my blog and I’m ecstatic to to be able apply ALL of my time and efforts into my passion in this upcoming year. I realize how blessed I am to be able to pursue blogging full-time and I promise I won’t disappoint. At least I will try my hardest not to!

Another event I’m extremely excited about, in this upcoming new year, is my graduation. I will officially be a NNU graduate this 2017! Most importantly – I will get to walk and share this accomplishment with my 8 year old. This, too, is the main reason for missing in action these last two weeks. I was originally supposed to graduate and walk five years ago, however, at that time I thought it would be a good idea to double major. In the mist of pursuing my second major, we started ThisisBoise.com, but had to halt all studies because of how demanding it became. It’s funny how things work out because about 3 months after we sold ThisisBoise.com, my counselor reached out to let me know this was my last chance to take the one class I needed to complete my degree before they changed the curriculum! So there you have it, these last 8 weeks, I’ve nose deep in a theology class, trying to survive a subject I’ve always struggled with. I am just glad I can officially cross that off my list and accomplish a major goal of mine.

With every new year comes a sense of renewal and hope. Even though striving to be the best person and working towards goals should be done all year round, I love that feeling of starting brand new. I’ll be working on my New Year resolutions and goals for 2017 for my next post. Until then I would love to know what are you most excited about in 2017? What are some of your new year resolutions or goals?

Thank you again so much for joining me here on my blog! It means the world! Until next time, Happy Holidays again!

Besos,

Jennifer Puente

Thanks for this post Jenn! You reminded me that although we can appear to be perfect bombshells, as you do effortlessly, life doesn’t always happen as perfectly as we plan it. Things are out of order and happen in the time they are supposed to according to someone else’s plan for us, without getting too spiritual up in here…I’m looking forward to getting my best body back in 2017. No excuses! I have signed up for a couple of online fitness challenges to get me started. How do you stay in shape with your busy schedule? Congrats on graduation, you’re unstoppable!

Marley! You’re so welcome! How have you been?!? Oh my gosh, you’re so right about that – social media is the biggest corporate in pushing women to feel like they need to pursue that perfect life. I am far from perfect believe me.
That’s awesome that you are concentrating on yourself this year. Just a thought – this year should be about being selfish for one’s health and not perfect! I wish you the best of luck on your fitness journey this year! Well I use the 80/20 rule (which is 80 percent of the time I am very conscious of what I eat, and 20% of the time I let myself indulge), I also run and take barre class when I have time!

Thank you again so much for visiting me here on my blog. I appreciate you more than you know! Happy new year babe and please don’t hesitate to send me an email if you need help or advice with anything!
