MAY FLOWERS

It’s MAY and it’s set to be a marvelous & exhausting month! Besides the fact 5 de Mayo is 4 days away (bring on the tacos, guac, and margaritas!) we are one month closer to summer! YAY! I’m both over the moon and wanting to hide from the next 31 days. And here is why – this month, I get to celebrate, renovate, and travel! Yes, all 3!

Remember when I shared with you, earlier this year, that I’d be walking (official graduating) this month? Yes, that’s this month, this Saturday to be exact! Boy has time flown. I’m not gonna lie, I’m extremely excited and proud of this life event of mine. Mostly, overjoyed that I’m finally walking & blessed to be able to share this moment with the ones I love the most -my mother, daughter, husband, and hopefully brothers will be present. Even though my father isn’t with us, I know he will be there in spirit with a huge grin on his face and proud of my accomplishments. It’s safe to say I’ll be the first, in my family, to graduate with a college degree! I remember 6 1/2 years ago when I started at NNU, they asked us individually why or who we were pursuing a degree for (other than myself of course) my response, without a doubt, was for my parents. I grew up watching them work so hard, not only at their regular jobs and sometimes second jobs, but also as immigrants who came here with no education, learned english and worked hard for their citizenship. Through their examples, they showed me to always strive to be better person and to work hard for my dreams and goals. So this Sunday I walk for them and my baby girl.

Whoa, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to get so deep. Any who, let’s talk about what is going to make me pull hair out next, shall we?!? We are begining our 2nd floor remodel, May 9th. So that leaves me with 8 days to pack up my entire room, closet, 2 bathrooms, my daughter’s room and our office/closet room. [picture me in panic just sharing this] we are all moving up to the 3rd floor so if you don’t see me post in a couple of days you will know why! I will make sure to take before pics to show you and keep you updated on the progress and finishes we pick! Please wish me luck!

“TRAVEL IS THE HEALTHIEST ADDICTION”. And it’s sure become an addiction for my husband and I. This leads me to the next happening that’ll be rocking my world in May! CUBA -extremely blessed and so grateful to be able to visit this one of a kind destination. We are headed there at the end of this month! I will make sure to take plenty of photos and video to share with you all! As well, as share any tips at the end of my trip to help you plan your trip there!

Well amores, as much as I would love to continue talking about everything else going on this month, I need to start packing up my 2nd floor! I hope you enjoyed this post as well as this beautiful dress from For Love & Lemons and stunning beaded clasp bag from ZARA. Please let me know your thoughts or if you have any tips on packing up an entire floor in the comments below! Thank you again for meeting me here! MUCHOS BESOS!

Con Amor,

Jennifer Puente
