Let’s see, we are now 2 weeks into the new year and I must admit I need a do over! I am typically one who is pumped and prepared for new beginnings but 2017 came swinging at me like Miley – a cannon ball. I mean, I haven’t even had time nor the energy to sit down (by myself in peace and quiet) and formulate my 2017 resolutions and goals! *Huge gasp* (? I know, I know, shame on me). Not that I am making excuses here but the prep for NYE was time consuming in itself. Then of course the hangover recovery process was brutal and then BAM, every single person in my family consecutively sick with the worst cold, including myself. To top it off we’ve been cooped up in the house (harvesting this horrible cold) due to record snowfall here in Boise. 7 back to back snow days for my little girl (can you feel my pain here)!! To be honest, I don’t even know how I’ve survived these last 12 days. Do you see why I’m in desperate need of a fresh start?
So here’s my plan, for this do over of mine, I am going to chalk up these past 12 days to it still being the year of the monkey (damn crazy monkey). And being that today is my burffffday and all, I am going to use this as my fresh start! TA DA! What better way to kick off a new begining then by welcoming another year and heading to LA LA land?!?! I know, that’s what I thought! My bags are packed and I’m ready to take of into the sunset or blizzard, which ever one Boise decides to see me off in and enjoy this little get away with my hunky insta hubby of mine.
As for my 2017 resolutions and goals, I will be working on those once I return from my trip. If there’s anything this year has taught me – it’s to not beat myself up over the uncontrollable and accept the beauty and blessings created by chaos!
